We’re so proud of our Special Olympians from Moore High School, Westmoore High School, and Southmoore High School! After the annual Moore FFA Potato Dinner they competed in the Special Olympics Livestock Show and did an incredible job!
Huge congrats to our Special Olympians from Moore High School, Westmoore High School, and Southmoore High School! After the annual Moore FFA Potato Dinner, they competed in the Special Olympics Livestock Show and did an incredible job.
Moore FFA Chapter Pres. and MHS senior Collin Adamo welcomed guests and helped coordinate the event and FFA membership. This event would not have been possible without the dedication of Ag teachers Jessica Dunlap, Tanna Frizzell and Hanna Aviles. MPS thanks Sen. Darrell Weaver and Rep. Danny Sterling who served as emcees and judges for the event; they did amazing work encouraging our students.
Additionally, MPS Special Services teachers were honored for their dedication to our Special Olympians and for the exceptional work they do for our district.
Our Special Olympians showed pigs, sheep, and goats by leading them around the show pen for a few turns and then positioned their animals for judging. They practiced every Tuesday morning since coming back from Winter Break. It is the highlight of the week for our special athletes as they get to work with their show animal and their FFA student mentor.
