Great News from Moore JOM

Highland East Junior High 7th grader Wesley Enriquez-Berry ran in the Newcastle Cross Country meet. Wesley ran in the 8th-grade division and placed 14th out of 236 runners. He also helped the junior high team take 1st place. 

Wesley has medaled in every XC meet this season! Go Cougars! Go Lions!


Central Junior High 8th-grade student and Junior Miss Indian Oklahoma City, Madison Koshiway (Otoe-Missouria), had the opportunity to participate in American Indian Heritage Day in Texas.

Her attendance was an event requirement of her Junior Miss Indian Oklahoma City title.

Great job, Madison! 


The Moore High School Native American Student Association (NASA) club held an assembly in October. The students put on another successful JOM assembly. Thanks to JOM Advisor Carole Carter and the staff. 


Moore JOM Dance Troupe members shared their dance styles at the Moore High School Native American Heritage Month kickoff performance, and they also performed at the Mustang High School halftime show for Native American Night. Thank you to all the families who support the students and to all of the dancers. There were also a few Dance Troupe alumni /former members at Mustang: TJ Tanyan, Madison Switch-Fixico, and Peyton Switch. 


Members of the MPS NASA joined the Native American Academic & Cultural Enrichment (ACE) Staff at The University of Oklahoma during their Indigenous Peoples’ Day event.
